WEATHER Florence enjoys a continental climate. Summers are hot and muggy with temperatures overriding those along the coast. Relief rainfall prevails in the winter with cool to cold temperatures and occasional snow. March to June and September to early November are the best times to visit the area, with lots of sunshine, clear skies and enjoyable temperatures. The winter months can be fairly cold, but cities are less crowded and prices are low.
